It’s the Kinshofer HPX DRIVE – a German designed hydraulic actuator which opens and closes the grapple tynes in perfect syncronisation, at a constant rate and with precise control. All hose connections are conveniently grouped and stationary as oil supply to the moving section is all internal as are the relief and holding valves.
DEA and Kinshofer offer a complete range of grapple tynes or clamshells to suit all applications – forestry, demolition and general handling. A number of designs for specialist applications such as precision pipe handling are also available. You can even change from one application to the other simple by changing over the tyne sets – a simple 10 minute job.
HPX units are currently available for cranes and excavator up to 12 tonnes. Larger units will be available in the near future. They are available with or without rotators and are supplied with a 2 year warranty.
